Stonevell is a digital services company based in Northern Nevada serving customers in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and remotely. We provide device repair, managed IT, cybersecurity, web presence services, AI automation, and remote computer support under the brand name "Stonevell" and the tagline "Your Digital Fortress."
This Privacy Policy describes how Stonevell ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you visit our website (stonevell.com), use our services, submit forms, or interact with us through any channel.
02 Information We Collect

Device type, operating system, and description of technical issues submitted through our remote support intake form
Any files, screenshots, or documents you voluntarily share with us during a support engagement
Communication content from emails, phone calls, or text messages you send to us
Billing and payment information if you purchase a service (processed through third-party payment processors — we do not store full payment card numbers)
Information collected automatically:
IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution
Pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URLs, and click behavior
Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5 below)
Information we do not collect:
We do not intentionally access, copy, or store your passwords, personal files, financial records, or other sensitive personal data unless you specifically request assistance with those items during a support session
We do not purchase or obtain personal data from third-party data brokers
03 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Respond to your inquiries and provide requested services
Schedule, conduct, and follow up on remote and in-person support sessions
Diagnose and resolve technical issues on your devices
Improve our website, services, and customer experience
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
04 Remote Support Sessions
Remote support sessions require special attention because they involve direct access to your device. Here is how we handle your privacy during remote sessions:
Consent-based access. We only connect to your device after you explicitly authorize the session by running the connection client and approving access. You can revoke access and end the session at any time.
Visible activity. Everything we do during a remote session is visible on your screen in real time. There is no hidden or background access.
No recording by default. We do not record remote support sessions unless we explicitly disclose it to you and receive your consent before the session begins.
No data harvesting. We do not browse, access, copy, or extract personal files, documents, photos, or credentials from your device during a session unless you specifically request assistance with those items.
Session termination. Once the session ends, our remote access is terminated. We do not maintain persistent or unattended access to your device unless a separate unattended access agreement is in place for managed IT customers.
For managed IT customers with ongoing unattended access agreements, access terms are defined in your service agreement and are separate from one-time remote support sessions.

We do not use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels. We do not build advertising profiles based on your browsing activity.
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect your ability to use certain website features such as form submissions.
06 Third-Party Services & Tools
To provide our services, we may use third-party tools and platforms. These may include:
Remote support platforms (for example, HelpWire, Microsoft Quick Assist) to conduct remote sessions

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy and terms of service. We select tools that align with reasonable privacy and security standards, but we do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party providers. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services involved in your engagement with us.
07 Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited information in the following circumstances:

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process.
Protection of rights. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate potential violations of our terms of service.
Business transfers. If Stonevell is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected customers before their information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
08 Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, maintain our business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
